San Ignacio University, a university belonging to the USIL Educational Corporation, based in Florida (USA). USA), was recognized by the Mayor of North Miami Beach, Anthony DeFillipo, for the support made as an institution in the vaccination process and for the solidarity actions deployed in favor of the community in this time of pandemic.
Mayor DeFillipo handed this distinction to Raul Diez Canseco Terry, founder president of the USIL Educational Corporation and SIU representative, in a brief and simple solidarity ceremony in which food aid was brought to the community affected by the pandemic.
“It is a great honor to have with us today the former vice president of Peru, Raul Diez Canseco. Thank you so much for being with us. I want to present this award that is presented to Raul for his participation with his organization San Ignacio University. Thank you very much for all your help, your volunteers and all that was done, which ensured that our food collection was a great success,” said the mayor.
On receiving the diploma, Diez Canseco pointed out that these kinds of joint actions “intertwine the peoples and allow to give a better life to the people and provide hope in these terrible times we live because of the pandemic.”
The recognition was held last Sunday during a civic day organized by the SIU, in which non-perishable food was collected and distributed to the vulnerable population of Florida, especially Latin Americans.
