Our Position in the Rankings
The prestigious newspaper El Economista from Spain ranked USIL eighth among the most innovative universities in Latin America, after valuing more than a hundred institutions in Latin America and Spain. The USIL is the only Peruvian university in the ranking, whose evaluation included the policies of digital transformation, portfolio and methodology of digital teaching, response to the coronavirus, technological capabilities, admission process, among others.
First place in the category “No Poverty” of the renowned international consulting firm Times Higher Education (THE). This recognition is due to the actions carried out by USIL and which are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
The international higher education consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) considers the San Ignacio University of Loyola among the 8 best public and private universities in Peru. This year the ranking of international level and global scope measured the educational quality of more 1673 universities around the world, 1300 were classified, among them 8 Peruvian universities, among which was included our house of studies.
First place with 3 Palms of Excellence in the category “Excellent Business School With Reinforcing International Influence” by Eduniversal, French global rating and rating agency specializing in higher education that evaluated more than 1000 business schools from 154 countries.
The Spanish company Corporate Reputation Business Monitor (Merco) ranked USIL among the best Peruvian universities after taking into account ethical commitment, transparency, good governance, responsibility with employees, commitment to the environment and climate change, and contribution to the community.
The well-known magazine AméricaEconomía ranked USIL among the best Peruvian universities and highlighted the effort to keep the 53 undergraduate and 19 postgraduate programs in force thanks to the creation of online systems dedicated to teaching and the creation of the USIL Digital Learning Factory, a laboratory for the production and generation of digital educational content.
Developed by the renowned Spanish entity Cybermetrics Lab, belonging to the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), Webometrics measures both the openness of web publications and scientific publications. San Ignacio de Loyola University is one of the best 15 educational institutions in Peru, currently undergoing a process of restructuring and improving web content.
We are the first Latin American university to win two categories at the International Green Gown Awards 2020, with the programs “Building a better future through the USIL sustainable management model” and “Sustainable USIL Living Lab in Occopata”. The first is the Sustainability mainstreaming project throughout the Corporation at the organizational, administrative, outreach, academic and research levels. While the second is a sustainable development program that aims to contribute to the reduction of poverty in a peasant community located in Cusco, through service and academic experiences, structured in nine lines of action such as education, tourism and environment. , among others.
USIL is the first Peruvian university that won 7 consecutive times the Distinctive of Socially Responsible Enterprise – Peru 2021 and the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI), the only Peruvian national recognition label that reflects the best practices in sustainable development and social responsibility of the business sector, in all its areas.
We were the first to obtain the first star of the national program Carbon Footprint Peru of the Ministry of the Environment, a digital tool of free access that has the support of the Project for the Implementation of the Climate Goals of Peru and with the technical assistance of the United Nations Development Program and is part of the International Climate Protection Initiative.
We became the only educational institution with renewable energy certification from water sources awarded by Statkraft and the international AENOR certification. Both institutions verified and certified that the energy used by USIL is 100% renewable and from water sources.
