Vice President of Entrepreneurship

The Vice-Presidency of Entrepreneurship of the Educational Corporation San Ignacio de Loyola, through USIL Ventures, develops the entrepreneurial culture at all levels of the training process.

Through the Junior Achievement program we work with students in the last years of secondary school and with undergraduate students we promote programs of entrepreneurship and innovation.

We are also a pioneer in the promotion, incubation and acceleration of companies and startups.

We have the support of Pro Innovate of the Ministry of Production; and we are part of the Pacific Alliance Accelerator Network (AcelerAP) and the Peruvian Seed and Entrepreneurial Capital Association (PECAP).

Lines of Action

To train highly trained and entrepreneurial professionals with social responsibility and full capacity to develop competitively at the national level.

1. USIL Ventures ACADEMY

We build an entrepreneurial and innovative culture in the community, impacting the diverse business units of the educational group.

We capture and collect new trends in entrepreneurship and innovation around the world, focusing on:

omplementary courses in entrepreneurship training

We developed asynchronous course proposals, dictated by key actors of the national and international entrepreneurial ecosystem, focused on the Latam public through the USIL Onlife platform.

Content generation and updating

We capture and collect new trends in entrepreneurship and innovation in the world to include them in the curriculum of our courses and mentions (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management). We have designed and incubated the Administration and Entrepreneurship career.

Teaching development and skills

We provide access to new tools for our teachers to develop their skills by providing national and international certifications.

2. USIL Ventures STARTUPS

We support the creation and strengthening of startups in the stages of incubation, acceleration and softlanding, as well as the relationship with ecosystem companies.

The main verticals we address are: industries 4.0; hotels, tourism and gastronomy; edutech; bio-business and health.

Incubation

We support the generation and validation of innovative ideas and business models until the entrepreneurial team can generate its first sales.

Acceleration

We scouted the most talented startups in Peru and Latin America to help them build successful global companies with an emphasis on technology and innovation. Three main pillars are worked on: growth strategy, internationalization and capital raising.

Softlanding

We accompany international startups that are interested in entering the Peruvian market to continue the dynamization of the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

3. USIL Ventures CONSULTING

We stimulate ecosystems of entrepreneurship and innovation by articulating initiatives and actions developed by companies, government, academia and civil society, through the implementation of consultancies, such as:

Open Innovation

We develop open innovation projects for companies, by diagnosing their problems and linking them to their solution with startups and the research and innovation ecosystem.

Productive development R&D&I

We provide technical support in R&D&I and promotion of primary economic activities as a way to make the entrepreneurship process more inclusive and participatory, helping to improve the living conditions of communities and people who are part of beneficiary projects.

Business Strengthening

We promote the growth of companies through the definition or revision of the business model, commercial, legal and financial strategy, improving the production processes of a product or service. This means reducing time, costs, and increasing levels of service quality and revenue generation.

This project didn't work because I had the opportunity to start in the corporate world; However, I can say that thanks to USIL and the mentorships I received at USIL Ventures I was able to learn what it takes to get projects moving forward.
